Book of Abstracts
Participants at the XIX International Conference on Overarching Issues of the European Area will be able to submit their short abstracts for paper and/or poster presentations (between 200 and 300 words). The selected abstracts for paper and/or poster presentations will be included in a Book of Abstracts published by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto, with ISBN and DOI.

Special Issue in Land:
Associated with the XIX International Conference on Major Issues in Europe, a particular volume by Land (MDPI) entitled “Building Resilient and Sustainable Territories”.
This special edition aims to disseminate studies that analyse aspects associated with territorial resilience and sustainability, in addition to detailing strategic regional development scenarios and adaptation paths to climate change. It also accepts analyses that focus on public landscape planning policies, or those associated with changes in land use and their consequences, in addition to identifying critical factors connected to the sustainability of territories, particularly in the tourism sector.
We therefore await contributions from scientists, specialists and professionals in Geography, Economy, Environmental and social challenges, Tourism, Rural and urban Landscape Planning, Management and Changes in Land Use or Climate Change, among other topics.

Chapter in a Springer book entitled ‘Climate Change and Territories: crisis and challenges’. “Mudança Climática e Territórios: crises e desafios”.
The process of accepting and selecting articles for publication is regulated by the publisher's internal rules, based on the "double-blind peer-review" system. “double-blind peer-review”.
For authors considering publication in chapter format in the book published by Springer, submission of the full article must follow the rules of Springer.
Four documents must be submitted for each assignment:
- 2 anonymized documents in PDF and DOCX format (without disclosure of names or identification of authors) example: anonymized_abstract reference.PDF
- 2 complete documents in PDF and DOCX format (with disclosure of names or identification of authors) example: ferreira_abstract reference.PDF

As usual, once the best articles have been selected, the authors are invited to submit their texts for the Special eBook, “The Overarching Issues of European Area – 2025”published by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto, with ISBN and DOI.
This eBook is indexed in Google Scholar, UP Repository, RCAAP, DRIVER and BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine) and Crossref.
The articles must be original, unpublished, and no more than 25,000 to 35,000 characters long (including spaces). This number should include an abstract in two languages (1500 and 2500 characters, with spaces), 3 to 5 keywords, tables, figures, and bibliographical references.
