Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Tourism Product Management

Description: The workshop on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Tourism Product Management”, organised as an event in the field of tourism, aims to explore the frontiers of tourism product management and promotion with an innovative and entrepreneurial approach. This workshop will take place at the Instituto Europeu de Estudos Superiores (European Institute of Higher Studies) of Fafe in Medelo, Portugal, and will be attended by experts and professionals in the tourism sector from renowned institutions, including the European Institute of Higher Studies. This workshop is particularly significant as it is part of the ‘XVIII International Seminars on the Overarching Issues of the European Area’, a scientific event that addresses cross-cutting issues of relevance to the European area. This context provides an excellent opportunity for participants to engage in broader discussions and collaborate on issues that go beyond national borders, emphasising the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in the sustainable and resilient development of tourism.

WORKSHOP III

Resilient and Sustainable Tourism

Description:The “Resilient and Sustainable Tourism” workshop will take place on 23rd May, with three presentations between 9.30 and 11.00 a.m. and a round table from 11.30 a.m. to 13.00 p.m., including participatory activities. It has been developed in partnership with the University of Porto and CEGOT and is part of the ‘XVIII International Seminars on the Overarching Issues of the European Area’. Resilient and Sustainable Tourism is considered an extremely relevant topic, as it contributes to the preservation of a destination’s natural and cultural heritage. By adopting sustainable practices, such as the promotion of responsible tourism and the conscious management of resources, the tourism destination guarantees the durability of its tourist attractions for future generations. In addition, the sector’s resilience allows it to face challenges such as global crises, guaranteeing economic stability and maintaining local jobs. In this context, the integration of sustainable initiatives not only preserves the unique beauty of the territories, but also strengthens their reputation as a responsible and resilient tourist destination.
