Welcome to the\u00a0XIX International Conference on Overarching Issues in the European Area!<\/strong>
Welcome to the XIX International Conference on Overarching Issues in Europe!\nThe nineteenth edition of this event proves the important role that science and academia play in questioning, debating and trying to provide answers to the various challenges that we, as a society (on a national and international scale), face. In the current context, despite the changes observed over the last few decades, the need to continue the dynamics established in previous editions is deepening, continuing the discussion of multiple issues based on the countless participations and contributions of renowned experts from various continents, in addition to academics, representatives of important institutions and civil society itself. All of them correspond to irreplaceable agents in mitigating and resolving the problems addressed, regardless of whether they are social, cultural, economic or environmental.\nAs President and on behalf of the Organizing Committee of the XIX International Conferences on Major Issues in the European Space, I would like to invite you to visit the city of Porto, to share your knowledge and experiences with us. With your contributions, combining efforts, we will encourage the emergence and deepening of strategies and solutions to mitigate the multiple problems that the world faces today.\nWe therefore await your presence and collaboration, wishing you a very enriching and unforgettable professional, scientific and pedagogical experience.
