It is with great pleasure that we invite you to 4th European Rural Geographies Conference which will take place in the vibrant city of Porto, Portugal, June 22-26, 2026. This will be an opportunity to enjoy the most wonderful and famous night of the year in this city, from June 23rd to 24th, the night of Saint John. This conference will bring together academics, researchers and practitioners from around the world.

The conference will provide a platform for engaging discussions, insightful presentations, and valuable networking opportunities. Participants will have the chance to explore key topics in rural geography, exchange ideas, and contribute to shaping the future of rural studies.

The programme will feature keynote speeches from distinguished experts, paper and poster sessions, as well as field trips that showcase the unique rural landscapes and development initiatives in Portugal.
